This week we are learning division by 1-digit divisors and with zeros in the quotient. I have asked you to find resources to help you better understand the topic. What did you find?
This week we have been learning Comparing Whole numbers and decimals as well as rounding whole numbers and decimals. What have you learned? What tricks would you tell other students to remember with comparing? What tricks would you tell other students to remember rounding? If there is time, you may make your own rounding rap or place value song or you can create an educreations lesson on rounding. Ask Miss Davis to help you send it to her!! You may also go to Math Spot and practice your times tables with the Mulitplication Tables Practice button.
Today we used educreations to create a lesson on place value. If you teach it, then you really know the material. We had to show 3 forms of number in our lesson. What 3 forms did you need to show? Do you think your lesson included enough information to really teach someone how to understand place value? If not, what could you add? On Monday we will start Math groups. Are you ready for some magical Math moments? Describe a time when you had difficulty with a math problem and what happened to make the light bulb come on in your mind. What was your favorite about Math last year? What was your least favorite thing about Math last year? What makes Math learning fun for you?
